Pink and White Swirled Fused Glass Dish – 7x7 Opalescent Decorative Plate

This 7-inch fused glass dish features an elegant swirl of opalescent pink and milky white, beautifully accented with a ribbon of transparent cranberry pink. Each side of this dish has its own character, and honestly, it was tough to choose which would be the "front"—the reverse has just as much charm. The color blend shifts softly depending on how the light hits it, giving it a dreamlike depth that’s hard to capture in a photo. Approximate Dimensions: 7 x 7 inches.

I created this piece in my home studio in Dunedin, Florida, starting with hand-cut glass and arranging each element by feel. The dish was first fired flat in my kiln at approximately 1480°F. After the glass fully fused, I returned it for a second firing at about 1180°F to slump it into its gentle curve. The full process takes around two days and yields a piece that is durable, functional, and artful.

This versatile square dish can be used as a decorative accent on a coffee table, a jewelry holder on a dresser, or a serving piece for wrapped treats. It's a soft, romantic touch for any space, and would make a lovely gift for someone who appreciates handcrafted beauty.
